Monocacy Archeological Society November Chapter Meeting Announcement

Join us for our November 9 meeting at the C. Burr Artz Library in Frederick.  The presentation will be by Jeremy Lazelle, chapter President, RPA Registered Professional Archaeologist and Senior Environmental Protection Specialist with FEMA’s Public Assistance Program – Federal Funding: Environmental and Historic Preservation Considerations. The presentation will present and explore the framework for projects either entirely or partially federally funded to include the process of NEPA and the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966. Discussion will put into prospective many factors of the environmental and historic/ prehistoric planning, considerations, and decision-making processes at work in Federal agencies and those who receive and carry out projects with any federal monies.
